As we head into the weekend, Mt. Washington Valley Alpine and Nordic areas are in great shape. Lack of significant recent natural snow has not diminished the experience at the resorts as groomers have plenty of white stuff to work their magic.

Cranmore Mountain Resort - Friday, February 5, 2010, Leanne Smith Fundraiser, Cranmore Mountain is hosting a fundraiser for North Conway ski racer Leanne Smith, who is heading to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. Smith, who grew up skiing at the New Hampshire resort and trained on the Cranmore Race Team, was named to the U.S. Olympic Alpine Ski Team late last month. She is expected to compete in the Combined and Super-G ski races at Whistler. The fundraiser is for Leanne and her family and takes place from 5 pm to 9 pm at Cranmore's Eating House. Cash bar, appetizers, live entertainment, raffle prizes, Chinese auction, live auction with $5 entry fee. All proceeds go to Leanne and her family.
Bretton Woods - Friday, February 5, 2010, Friday Night Freezestyle Jam Sessions. Event is for all ages, riders or skiers and spectators welcome. Whether it's a rail jam or slopestyle, you never know what will go down in the Midway Park. There will be music and prizes. Competition begins at 6:45 pm.
KIng Pine - Saturday, February 6, 2010, Snow Monster's Party, King Pine’s resident Snow Monster, “Snowball” is throwing a party and all are welcome. Face painting, tattoos, balloons, music, cake and Bobo The Clown.
