U.S. Olympic Freestyle Ski Team having excellent training at Cypress venue

Warm temps and a seeming lack of snow hasn't stopped the U.S. Olympic Freestylers from shredding Cypress. What's more is that they're having excellent training and loving the conditions.

"The course is in beautiful shape," said 2002 Olympic moguls silver medalist Shannon Bahrke. "As soon as it gets a little more skier traffic, it's going to be perfect."

The mercury actually dipped this morning, helping to preserve the impeccable course conditions.

"Training was good last night," said concurred fellow bumps skier Michael Morse. "The course is in good condition given the amount of snow."

The Olympic staff have been continuously shaping the aerials and moguls courses, and the athletes are nothing but pleased.

The action kicks off Saturday with women's moguls, as the Americans compete as part of one of the strongest women's teams ever. Bahrke, Heather McPhie, Michelle Roark and Hannah Kearney have all been on the World Cup podium this season, and medals are likely for all of them.
