Next up on our mountain-related reasons to visit California, on the Best...excuse me...West coast...the icons you'll see. Sure, sure you can see tons of movie stars, plenty of professional baseball and basketball players, Disneyland, the Hollywood sign...but don't forget nature's icons too! How about a drive along Highway 1, a glimpse of (or hike up) Half Dome in Yosemite, and a California ski-and-surf vacation? These natural icons bring in just as many visitors to the Golden State as the human icons. Also, if you're in LA during their TV appearances, like we just were, you'd have a good shot of running into snow-indsutry icons like Shaun White and Lindsey Vonn! Shaun White is from California, so you could just visit his house and hang with him for a while. I'm sure he wouldn't mind...plenty of other ski and snowboard rockstars make their homes in California, so you'll just have to come out here to see why!
