Citibank sells Hokkai ski resort of Niseko Village
On a selling spree to repay the U.S. government for bailing them out, Citibank sold the Japanese ski resort of Niseko Village. Niseko was featured heavily in Sweetgrass Productions Signatures. Nick Waggoner's award-winning film documents the Zen atmosphere surrounding skiing and snowboarding in Japan. Niseko is known worldwide for the immense amount of powder snow the island resort receives.
Citibank sold the ski resort for 6 billion Yen ($67 million U.S.) to Malaysia’s YTL Corp.
