Shaun White to skate at X Games 16

After a nearly two year absence from professional skate competition, Shaun White was scheduled to make his triumphant return to the vert ramp during the first Dew Tour stop in Boston. However, after suffering an ankle injury just weeks before the contest, White's skateboard comeback was further delayed.

However, as the ESPY nominee prepares for tomorrow's award show, Shaun White's talent agency, Creative Artists Agency, (CAA) confirmed today to X Games representatives that White will compete in the Vert Contest at X Games 16 in Los Angeles, CA.

White did not compete at last summer's X Games 15, as he chose to focus solely on this past February's Winter Olympic Games held in Vancouver, where he won Olympic gold for a second time in Snowboard Halfpipe

Shaun White has not been involved in a skateboard contest since the Right Guard Open held in Cleveland, Ohio in July 2008.
