Don't call it a comeback.

Corey Vanular, a freeski veteran at only 22-years-old, has officially signed with Faction Skis. Vanular, who had struggled with injuries over the last few years, made a strong return this season by capturing the ski world's attention with flawless, innovative tricks such as a nose butter cork 900 blunt grab at the London Freeze big air contest, and more recently with a nose butter cork 810 railslide with a 270 out at Whistler's Momentum Ski Camps (see clip below).

Before being injured, Vanular essentially owned the contest scene, performing strongly as a dual podium threat in both halfpipe and slopestyle contests. With the Carrabassett Valley Academy graduate now healed up after tearing both ACLs in back-to-back seasons, look for Vanular to make some noise on the competition circuit this season.

Be sure to check out more of Corey in the upcoming Level 1 Production's new ski movie, "Eye Trip," premiering Friday, September 10th in Denver, CO. If you can't make it for the premiere, you can also pre-order a copy.
