The hotly contested competition to be the first resort of the winter season to hit 100 inches in total snowfall went to Alyeska Resort.  Now the Alaska resort has topped the 200 inch mark with 117 inches alone falling just after Thanksgiving weekend.  The mountain has a significant stack of snow and a stacked calendar of events this season, including the U.S. Alpine National Championships in March.

Some have questioned the results of the contest, considering Alyeska’s Alaska location.  The mountain, however, passed all post-race tests administered and was found to be competing clean.  Take your place on the podium, Aleyska!
