Super Duper Pipe with 22 Foot Walls Opens at Mammoth Mountain

Sunday marked opening day of the Super Duper Pipe at Mammoth Mountain.  This now makes Mammoth the proud owner of a trifecta of pipes.  Each serves as its own school, ready to educate and send you off to the next, larger pipe of higher education.  The Mini Pipe, with its 10 foot walls, graduates skiers and boarders to the Superpipe and its 18 foot walls.  But, now terrain park enthusiasts can extend their education to the PHD level with the Super Duper Pipe.

"Super Duper", the name says it all.  Standing 22 feet tall and 500 feet long!  It’s a monster!  Twenty-two was the magic number at the X-Games, with riders all commenting on the bigger and badder competition pipe.  Well, you don’t have to be an X-Games participant to explore a pipe with magnanimous 22 foot walls.  Make your way to Mammoth Mountain, the mid-season MVP with the largest snowpack of the lower 48.
