Stowe, Slalom and Sugar: One Sweet Time

Stowe readies for its annual Sugar Slalom this weekend on April 4, and as usual, the outlook is pretty sweet. Racers schuss a classic slalom, but after that, things get a little sticky. Patrons pour maple syrup all over the course and let it harden on the packed spring snow. 

Forget trophies. The real prize from this ski race? Peel that syrup off for your very own, hand-made VT maple candy. Talk about a multi-tasking event!
