Ski Bunny to Appear at Solitude

Most every ski area will be hoppin’ this coming Sunday, and Solitude, one of the best kept ski secrets in Utah is no different. This Easter Sunday Peter Cottontail will ski the bunny trail (at 9:15 a.m.) to see all his little ski friends at the annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt begins at 9:30am, at the Moonbeam base area.

If you don’t have kids, Solitude still has other activities available. Act fast, as the resort is set to close for skiing on the 12th.

Test your Time: Grab a buddy and ski Solitude’s Race Course for just $3 a run. Located on Main Street, easily accessed from the Moonbeam, Apex or Eagle Express Lifts. Open Friday-Sunday.

Tour with a Ranger: Learn History, winter ecology and public lands of Solitude. Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. FREE, all on green runs. Meet at 1:30 pm, top of Moonbeam Lift.

Go Country: Enjoy a change of pace at Utah’s oldest and most scenic Nordic ski Center with over 20 kilometers of trails. The Solitude Nordic Center offers accessories, rentals and lessons- 801-536-5774.

Go Back Country: Tour beyond Solitude’s resort boundary with two members of the Solitude Professional Ski Patrol who will show you the secret stashes of the Wasatch Backcountry. Contact Back Tracks at 801-536-5705.
