Vail Resorts Really Nailing the Environmental Thing

Vail Resorts owner of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Heavenly ski resorts are proving to be on the cutting edge of the environmental cliff we are looking over as beside nailing years and years of monumental environmental conquests, CEO Rob Katz has now stated that Vail Resorts will go paperless by the end of the year 2011.

In an email to employees, Katz went as far as asking staffers to print on both sides of the paper and only print unless you absolutely have to.  In 2006, Vail announced that it would begin to offset all of its electricity use with renewable energy credits which should amount to 152,000 megawatts per year.

In 2007, the company said that it would serve “natural” meat at its mountain restaurants.  If you really want to save the planet, more vegetables, more fruit, more grains!  Be leaner, ski better, snowboard better, live longer!

But high five to Vail Resorts for their paperless initiative!
