Tamarack’s Ski Lifts Will Stay Put After Judge’s Ruling

A judge in Idaho has dismissed Bank of America Corp.’s bid to take over ski lifts from Tamarack Resort, meaning the lifts will stay where they are for now.  In addition to the Wildwood and Buttercup lifts, a snow plow, shuttle bus, and a Mack truck will also be staying at the resort for the time being.  All of the equipment is estimated to be worth $4.3 million and could now be part of a March 2010 foreclosure trial, in which Credit Suisse Group is seeking to recover more than $300 million from a syndicated loan, penalties, and interest.  This decision also means that Tamarack’s infrastructure will not be carted off piece by piece, and efforts will continue towards hashing out a deal with a possible Tamarack buyer.
