Sunday River rides El Nino cold temps, commences snow making one month early

It’s a sign of coldness to come.  While many forecasters are predicting a frigid winter for the Northeast, Sunday River got into the spirt of coldness by firing up the snow guns this weekend.

El Nino typically brings super cold temps for the northeast, and Sunday River’s snow gun firing comes a full month earlier than that of last year.  The race to open first typically goes to a ski resort with a Colorado address, and both Loveland ski area and Arapahoe Basin have the head start, but in a wild weather year, as Kevin Garnett says, anything is possible.
