Telluride Ski and Snowboard School launches new youth program

The Telluride Ski and Snowboard School has announced a new youth program today, which will be dubbed ‘The Telluride Development Squad.’  The goal of the program is to instruct children and promote both skiing and snowboarding in a fun and safe environment.  Children ages 3-14 are eligible for the program, which will run for two and a half months, beginning on January 9th, 2010.  Fred Rumford, Executive Director of the ski and snowboard school at the ski resort, said, “This is a tremendous opportunity for kids in the region to develop a lifelong love of skiing and riding in a program that promotes team building, mountain safety and learning in a non-competitive environment.”
