It’s getting cold at Taos Ski Valley in New Mexico so that means it’s time to start making snow.  As of today, snow guns are working 24 hours a day, and workers will make snow on 100% of the ski resort’s beginning and intermediate runs.  This gives Taos the largest snowmaking coverage in the region.  Mountain Manager Bill Etchemendy said, “The key ingredients to snowmaking are air, water, and air temperatures below 28 degrees which we have had the last couple of days.”  Snowmaking at Taos will continue through the middle of January.
