Temperatures and some light snow are falling up in Carrabassett Valley, Maine, home to Sugarloaf Resort, and more snow will be hitting the mountain since the ski resort started making snow this week.  Opening day is set for Friday, November 20, and Sugarloaf is planning to open the ski and snowboard season with access to Tote Road and the SuperQuad chairlift.  Sugarloaf upgraded its snowmaking system during the summer by added over 10,000 feet of pipe, which was part of the $1.8 million that went toward overall improvements during the offseason.
