It has recently been announced that the Visa U.S. Snowboardcross Cup, sponsored by LG, is being held at Telluride Ski Resort in Colorado this year from December 17th – 20th. There will be five Olympic qualifying events for the two disciplines including snowboardcross and parallel giant slalom competitions. As this will be the only competition being held in the U.S., Telluride is very excited to host this widely known event and is in full preparation for it.

An early snowfall and cold weather has further stirred the enthusiasm around Telluride Mountain.  Not only are the people of Telluride fired up over the event, but  Head Coach of U.S. Snowboarding Peter Foley calls Telluride “a real world class course” and hearing of the good conditions, he is excited for athletes all over the world to experience Telluride.
