Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia has just announced that it will be delaying its Opening Day until this Saturday, December 5.  Last week, the ski resort has announced that it would be open on Friday morning, but temperatures are looking to be mild during the week and the best conditions will be available on Saturday.  Natural snow should fall on Thursday, and Snowshoe will also be making snow as temperatures will be dropping.  The resort’s traditional Opening Day event, the “Rope Drop” ceremony, will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the top of Heisler’s Way slope.
