Snow is falling in Mt. Washington Valley as many ski resorts open this week

The cold weather has arrived in Mt. Washington Valley, New Hampshire, as the snow is falling and area ski resorts have snowmaking on almost all of their trails.  The area received 3″-5″ of the white stuff over the weekend, and more snow is in the forecast for the upcoming week.  This is all good news, as King Pine and Wildcat Mountain are set to open this Friday, and Attitash, Black Mountain, Cranmore, and Shawnee Peak are all slated to open Saturday.  The photo to the right is from snowmaking today at Cranmore Mountain Resort, in preparation for Opening Day this Saturday.
