Stratton Mountain School has top performances at Alaska FIS races

Alyeska, Alaska–‹Fourteen Stratton Mountain School (SMS) athletes competed in
a four-day race series in Alyeska, Alaska, on Dec. 10-13. Eight of the
athletes scored personal bests during the nighttime ski races and several
notched top-10 results.

Prescott McLaughlin ¹10, from Millbrook, N.Y., finished on the podium during
his first race of the year, taking home third place. On Dec. 12 and 13,
McLaughlin earned 5th and 4th place, scoring his lowest-ever FIS points.

On Dec. 10, Blake Pendleton ¹11 finished right behind McLaughlin with a
fourth-place result. Pendleton, from Wayland, Mass., also clinched a
fifth-place result during the GS on Dec. 13.

Keith Schuman, from Upper Saddle River, N.J., left Alaska with two finishes
in 6th place, one in SL and one in GS, and earned 8th place in the GS on
Dec. 13.

Danny Fowler, from Basking Ridge, N.J., notched a 9th place finish in the SL
on Dec. 11. He also earned 7th place in the GS on Dec. 12. Both results were
Fowler¹s career-best results.

Dylan Alvarez ¹12, from Vail, Colo., and Trevor Lennox ¹12, from Weston,
Vt., finished in the top 20 for all four of their first FIS races. Stefan
Schmidt ¹10 notched 14th place in the GS on Dec. 12.

On the girls¹ side, Amanda Reilly ¹12 marked two career bests, finishing
fourth in the SL on Dec. 10 and 7th in the SL on Dec. 11.

Libby Gibson ¹13, from Jamaica, Vt., notched personal-bests throughout the
whole series. She took 8th place and 12th place in the SL races on Dec. 10
and 11.
