Powdr Corp acquires Copper Mountain Resort

Powdr Corp announced that it has successfully completed its acquisition of Copper Mountain Resort from Intrawest. “We appreciate the hard work put forth to finalize this acquisition,” said John Cumming, chief executive officer at Powdr Corp. “We are thrilled to work with the experienced team in place at Copper Mountain and grateful for the opportunity to expand the Powdr family into Colorado.”   

“We are excited to join Powdr Corp’s family of resorts,” said Gary Rodgers, president and general manager at Copper Mountain. “The emphasis they place on the on-mountain experience allows us to solidify our place as Summit County’s favorite resort for skiing and riding.”   

Headquartered in Park City, Utah, Powdr Corp currently owns and operates eight ski and snowboard resorts including Park City Mountain Resort, Killington and Pico Resorts in Vermont, Mt. Bachelor in Oregon, Boreal Resort and Soda Springs Resort, both in Donner Summit, California, Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort and the newly acquired Copper Mountain Resort, in Summit County, Colorado. Powdr Corp also operates Gorgoza Park, a lift-served tubing park, in Park City, Utah.
