Travelers the world-over return to this Vermont Inn for countless different reasons. Some come to our beautiful Vermont country inn for the crisp pine air that accompanies a hike, bike, snowshoe, or snowmobile excursion through the area’s famed mountains. Some arrive, a bundle of new books tucked carefully under each arm, intent on catching up on nothing more than their pleasure reading. Some return for the simple graces of a little-town bed and breakfast where the owners still take an old-world interest in everyone who comes through the door. A great many come back to our Vermont country inn for the food, eager to reacquaint their taste-buds with shrimp and radicchio risotto, wood grilled veal chop and orange-cinnamon crème-brulee. And of course they come back to ski, knowing that the warming glow of an evening fire will be there to greet them at the end of a long day on the slopes.

The Doveberry Inn is one of Vermont’s finest bed and breakfast treasures. The architecture is pleasantly understated, recalling both the charm of a Swiss chalet and the familiarity of a New England clapboard cottage. Inside The Doveberry Inn, the sitting room echoes the same cozy personality, with a finished bar and fireplace that invite quiet cocktails and conversation. The accommodations themselves are sprinkled with antiques and amenities like copper basin sinks, early-American rocking chairs, quilted comforters and hard wood floors. Tasteful simplicity abounds in all eight rooms at our Vermont bed and breakfast and comfort is paramount whether curling up for a movie in bed or enjoying the fireplace while stargazing from a private balcony.
