The popular FREE Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series will continue on Sunday, March 21 at 4 p.m. in Snowmass base village with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals – a deeply rooted, dramatically dynamic rock sound with a touch of bluegrass. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are “one of the most soulful new bands around,” according to musician Bonnie Raitt. The following weekend, the Southern California based funk/jam band, The Greyboy Allstars, will rock the base of Aspen Mountain on Friday, March 26 at 8 p.m. The series has offered five free outdoor concerts held during key events and peak weekends throughout the season.
Schneetag – March 27 – 1-3 p.m.
Hold on tight for the hilarious third annual Schneetag event (pronounced Shnee Tog) at Snowmass. Teams of four are invited to create a craft that will slide down the slope just below the Snowmass superpipe above Spider Sabich and attempt to soar over a 75×20 foot pond. Each team will perform a skit before their run and will be judged on costume theme, creativity and flight distance of their craft. The craft must be entirely human powered with no external energy sources. The craft must be less than 10 feet wide and weigh less than 400 pounds, including the pilot. Each team will pick just one member to fly their craft across the pond.

The third annual Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls event, hosted by Aspen/Snowmass Athlete Chris Davenport, features teams of two using Flaik GPS devices to track how skilled each duo is at skiing the many bowls of Aspen Highlands. This year there will be three divisions: competitive ski, competitive snowboard and overall non-competitive. The goal is for each team in each division to finish the course, determined by Davenport, within the four-hour time frame. The cost is $75 per team and each participant receives a Helly Hansen base layer and access to the event after party. This is open to any skier or snowboarder who enjoys riding Aspen Highlands.
