Whistler Blackcomb set to host Paralympic Winter Games beginning March 12

It was the site of Lindsey Vonn‘s gold medal victory in the Downhill, as well as Bode Miller‘s victory in the Combined during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.  Now, Whistler Blackcomb is gearing up again to play host, this time for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, which begin this Friday, March 12 and will last until Sunday, March 21.  The Paralympic events at Whistler will include alpine skiing, biathlon, and cross-country skiing.  Over 1,350 athletes and officials will take place in the Games, and 80 countries will be represented.
