Powder Mountain unleashes discounts and festivities for Spring

Powder Mountain is declaring the official start of Spring Skiing Season when we switch to Daylight Savings Time on March 14. It goes without saying that March and April generally bring some of the bigger snowstorms of the season, but the sunshine and soft snow changes the attitude of guests from serious skiers to beachcombers on the slopes.

To enhance the springtime party ambiance, season pass holders from any resort worldwide are invited to take a break from their home resort and try out Powder Mountain. Simply show a current season pass at any Powder Mountain ticket window on Monday – Friday to purchase an adult all area pass for $40, a 31% discount.

Local residents who do not own a season pass can still receive significant savings by showing their Utah drivers license. Weekday prices for local residents are $45 for an adult pass and $30 for seniors ages 62 – 69.

Spring also brings great corn snow in the backcountry served by the Snowcat Powder Safari. On March 22, prices will be reduced $20 to $330 per person. The Snowcat Powder Safari continues running long after the resort closes so the price will be reduced a second time to $175/person on April 15th .

You can expect the Powder Mountain on the weekends to be filled with guests in Hawaiian shirts and brats on the grill. Festivities include:

  • March 27 Special Olympics Alpine Races at Sundown Lift
  • April 2 – 3 Trifecta of Shred
  • April 2 – Crossroads Skate Park from 6 – 9PM
  • Flowrider from 9 – 11PM
