The Fireside Grill and Timber’s Pub at Timberline Four Seasons Resort will be alive with activity over the last ski weekend of the busy 2009-2010 Winter Season. The public is invited and there is no charge.
The Saddle Tramps, rapidly becoming one of the area’s favorite groups, will perform both Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27 at 6pm until closing at the resort’s Timber’s Pub. Ted Garber will perform at 6pm on Sunday, March 28th.
Musician members of Saddle Tramps Pioneering Heritage Club will perform music of the old west and old country. The musical group, from Monongahela, Pennsylvania, appears regulartly at similar events which pay tribute to the spirit and customs of the American Pioneers. The Saddle Tramps musical group has members in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The club is dedicated to recognition and preservation of the fronteir era and the pioneer’s lifestyle. Their music, instruments and attire is representative of the frontier era circa 1835. The original frontier sounds of the Saddle Tramps are also incorportated into their presentation of contemporary country and western songs.
The Sunday performance of Ted Garber will be the second appearance of this season at Timberline. Garber has a family tradition of entertaining at Timberline, whre his late father was a favorite entertainer.
Ted is known for his interactive entertainment and his “Blues-Americana Rock”, his harmonica and guitar renditions and his vocal style. His music reflects the rhythm and blues scene of New Orleans. According to Garber, both Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley have strongly influenced his musical style. His new CD, “American Rail”, contains rock ‘n roll, rhythm and blues, and old country.
The weekend also marks the last day of skiing and the beginning of the resort’s spring and summer activities. The annual Local’s Cup Race will be held on the resort’s well-known White Lightning ski trail. The trail has become acclaimed for its race compatible characteristics.
The Fireside Grill will offer seafood specials on Friday and barbeque ribs on Saturday, with a full menu all weekend.
