Conditions for skiing and riding are prime in Mt. Washington Valley, NH

Spring has arrived, and the forecast for the Mt. Washington Valley in New Hampshire is looking quite sunny.  Temperatures are projected to be in the 50′s over the next several days, and could even hit 60 degrees by Saturday.  All the Alpine ski resorts in the area are still at or near 100% open terrain, and see below for upcoming events:

Attitash – Saturday, March 20, 2010, On Snow Golf, a 9 hole on skis, snowboard or telemark golf tournament. Teams of four make their way down the trail playing a Best Ball format. Top three teams and best costume will win prizes from participating sponsors. You can pre-register in the season pass office or day of the event from 8:00-10:00 am in the South Wing of the base lodge. $25 per team of 4.

Shawnee Peak - Saturday, March 20, 2010, 25th Annual Spring Fling Beach Party, sun, fun and catching rays on the deck. The Slush Cup (starts at 1:30 pm) pits skiers and snowboarders against a 60-foot-long man-made pond of ice cold water. Skim along as far as you can go, before falling victim to the laws of gravity. Register (for free) in the base lodge from 10 am-11:30 am.
