(Park City, Utah) March 22, 2010- In celebration of daylight savings time and the spring skiing and riding season, The Canyons Resort, Utah’s largest ski and snowboard resort, will be extending weekend hours on select lifts for the remainder of the season. Beginning Friday, March 26th, guests will enjoy an extra hour of skiing and riding on the High Meadow and Saddleback Express lifts, as well as the Flight of The Canyons gondola. Guests will be able to load these lifts until 5pm on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) until closing day on April 11th.
The Adventure Park located on Painted Horse off of Saddleback Express will also stay open until 5pm for guests who want to practice their tricks in a terrain park designed both for the novice and more advanced park riders. The adventure terrain park includes a mix of easy and more challenging features and jumps including some of terrain park manager, Steve Duke’s famous innovations.
The Canyons extended skiing and riding hours continue to validate the Resort’s reputation as the ultimate destination for spring travelers to Utah. The extended hours coincide with Utah’s largest and best spring event, Spring Grüv 2010, which kicks off with Pond Skimming on March 27th. Included in the lineup of Spring Grüv events are concerts by national acts such as Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Fishbone, Robert Randolph and the Family Band and The Soulistics.
