The rain has stopped, which means many ski resorts in Mt. Washington Valley, NH will be open beginning on Thursday. The snow has begun to set and the groomers have worked their magic, as five alpine ski areas and one Nordic area will be open this weekend for spring skiing and riding. Attitash Ski Resort, Black Mountain, Bretton Woods, Shawnee Peak, and Wildcat Mountain will all be open, as well as the Great Glen Trails cross country area. Attitash – Saturday, March 27, 2010, Mogul Jam, 17th annual Mogul Jam features some of the top freestylists in the East Coast. This is a best of two runs event judged on, line, aerial maneuvers and form. Event starts at 11 am. www.attitash.com
Bretton Woods - Saturday, March 27, 2010, 23rd Annual Beach Party. Spring skiing, live island-style music, BBQ and après ski fun. This event includes skiers and riders attempting to skim the slush pool at the bottom of Bretton’s Wood trail. www.brettonwoods.com
