U.S. Forest Service accepting public comment for Heavenly expansion

Heavenly Mountain Resort, which straddles the Nevada-California border, is asking for approval for a new 14,750-square-foot lodge near the top of the Gondola, which is a new high speed lift that will replace the Galazy Lift.  In addition, the ski resort would like to add four new runs near the Galazy Lift.  All of the projects would require the removal of trees, so the U.S. Forest Service is soliciting public comment through April 11, as it is working to asses the enviornmental impact that the expansion would have.
