It’s the inaugural year for the Ritz-Carlton Highlands Lake Tahoe, and today, the hotel announced that it will close on April 19 for three weeks in order to get ready for the late spring and summer seasons.  The hotel, which is located mid-mountain at  the ski resort Northstar-at-Tahoe, is closing the day after skiing ends at Northstar and will re-open on May 10.  This process of closing for a few weeks is said to be common at resorts, and it will allow the staff to be fully prepared for the upcoming seasons.
