Mountain bike season is in its prime right now at Mammoth Mountain, and if you’ve been delaying a trip to the beautiful Eastern Sierra resort then consider checking out the ride festivities scheduled for this weekend Aug. 21-22nd.
On Saturday, Mammoth will offer the chance of a lifetime with public ride sessions with the pros of Troy Lee. Join the crew of pros for a two hour ride session and find out why there’s no better way to improve your skills than pedaling with a talented group of riders. The session costs only $30 with the purchase of a bike park ticket, and these small groups are limited to intermediate or experts, age 12 or above.
If lapping with pro riders sounds a little too intense for your weekend, be sure to sit back and check out the pros putting on a free demo on Sunday from 11am-12:30pm outside of Main Lodge. There will be new hits, backflipping bikers, a DJ, and even an appearance by Woolly, who recently dropped his own video segment.
If you haven’t hit the mountain bike park in Mammoth lately, you should clear your calendar for next weekend. With a new and improved MountainCross course featuring six 6′ berms, six table top jumps and a new sprinkler system watering the trail daily it’s riding better than ever. Lower Twilight Zone has also been rebuilt with six tabletops, a new over-under and is spritzed on the regular. Want more? Chair 2 is turning on weekends!
