Park City Mountain Resort to host ‘Thriller Snow Dance’

Snow dances are traditionally shout-outs to the Norse snow god Ullr. Park City Mountain Resort hopes that Ullr is a Michael Jackson fan. The Utah ski area will host its second-annual “Thriller Snow Dance” on the Friday before Halloween, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. Participants can begin practicing and rehearsing for the dance at 3 p.m.

Held at the Town Lift Plaza, on lower Main Street in Park City, the celebration captured the attention of national Fox News last year. There is no truth to the speculation, however, that Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell, was in the back row dressed as a witch.

Along with a few zombie accessories, winter attire including ski or snowboard boots is encouraged for the dance to Michael Jackson’s classic song. Makeup artists will be at the event to help paint zombie faces.

Park City Mountain Resort plans to open for the ski season on Nov. 20.
