Ski it IF and WHEN you can: Mad River Glen hints at possible Thanksgiving weekend opening

Eric Friedman, marketing man for the skier-owned Mad River Glen, sent out an APB for all fans of the iconic ski resort and its single-person chairlift.  No opening day announcement has been made, but Thanksgiving weekend could be a possibility.

Someone shook up the old snow globe today and it’s really starting to look more like winter! Everyone keeps asking; “so when is Mad River going to open?”. Well the fact is only Mother Nature knows for sure. Our plan (as always) is to open as soon as we have enough snow after Thanksgiving. So its anyones guess, but hey we’ve opened Turkey-day weekend before so stay tuned. Speaking of guessing – I just heard from MRG’s legendary weather prognosticator, Josh Fox, who told me that his pre-season prediction is coming! In the meantime see this rosy prediction! Let’s all keep our fingers and toes crossed as we dream for many powdery days.  Another way to encourage more of the white stuff is to join us for  ski season kickoff bash we are hosting with our friends over at Sugarbush. It’s called the Big Kicker at the Big Picture, all the details are here, sure hope you can make it.
