The Canyons will once again have their Summer Concert Series (photo above taken during the 2010 Concert Series by Salt Rock Photography), presented by Zions Bank and produced by Mountain Town Music. Beginning Saturday, July 16 and ending Saturday, September 3, The Canyons will have free live music from 6PM-8:30PM every Saturday night.
As reported earlier with the announcement of Alejandro Escovedo joining, the lineup is now complete with the addition of Great American Taxi who will be opening the Concert Series on July 16. Over the past five years, Great American Taxi has emerged as one of the best known headliners on the jam band circuit. Such classifications have been used in describing their old fashioned rock ‘n roll sound: Swampy Blues, Progressive Blues and Honky Tonk. Sounds like they bring the peanut butter with the jam every time. Well, I liked that joke anyway.
Here is the complete lineup for The Canyons Summer Concert Series:
Saturday, July 16: Great American Taxi
Saturday, July 23: Anders Osborne
Saturday, July 30: Alejandro Escovedo
Saturday, August 6: The Infamous Stringdusters
Saturday, August 13: Smooth Money Gesture
Saturday, August 20: MarchFourth Marching Band
Saturday, August 27: BoDeans
Saturday, September 3: Jackie Greene
Once again, these concerts are FREE. Yeah! So due to the popularity and freeness on the concert series, The Canyons asks you to carpool, take public transportation or ride your bike to the shows. Please, no blankets or chairs in the Resort Village until 4:00pm. The Cabriolet and Frostwood lifts will be open Saturdays at 4:00pm.
Get excited for some mountain concert fun at The Canyons!!
