Heavenly opens for summer debuting New Summer Tubing Hill

The official start to summer according to the general calendar may be June 21, but not at Heavenly Mountain Resort. At Heavenly, the fun starts June 10 with new mountain attractions that the whole family will love! Guests now have their choice of two new ticket options to maximize mountain fun for everyone!

Starting this Friday, on-mountain activities at Heavenly will include: scenic gondola rides, bird’s-eye-view sightseeing, snow tubing (while the snow lasts) and delicious mountain dining.  Also, Tamarack Lodge is home to the highest-elevation, full-service ice cream bar at Lake Tahoe!

When the snow melts, Heavenly is still a hub for family fun, offering: gorgeous hiking trails, the famous 30-foot spider climber and slide, a 25-foot rock climbing wall and the brand new summer tubing hill!

The Summer Tubing Hill is a newly designed surface that will be placed on two of the existing snow tubing lanes so that guests can continue tubing without water or snow!  It’s the same amazing 500-foot-long hill, with the same thrill and excitement, but much warmer!

The Summer Season Pass allows guests unlimited access to ride the Gondola to 9,136 feet, sightsee from amazing heights at the Observation Deck, and hike Heavenly’s gorgeous mountain trails all summer long. Adult pass

es are $52 and children, teens and seniors pay $42.  Kids four and under always ride the Gondola for free.  The pass also includes unlimited rides on Tamarack Express, a six-person, high-speed chairlift taking guests to even greater heights of 9,725 feet with access to hike to the top of Sky Express for a breath-taking view of Lake Tahoe, Carson Valley and scenic mountains from Tahoe’s highest lift-served peak at 10,040 feet.

Heavenly is also excited to offer a new $38 gondola and food package to feed guests’ appetites as well as their sense of adventure.  The price includes a gondola ride, access to the Observation Deck, miles of hiking trails and a $15 food voucher redeemable at Heavenly’s new Tamarack Lodge or Café Blue.

June 10 marks the official start to Heavenly’s summer operations.  Summer activities are subject to change based on weather and conditions.  The Heavenly Gondola will operate through September 5 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. for sightseeing. Adventure Peak activities will be open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Four hiking trails will be open daily, weather permitting, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Due to the sensitivity of Heavenly’s high-alpine environment, guests are asked to stay on the designated trails and help us protect the forest by not smoking on the mountain.
