Utah Symphony Deer Valley Music Festival

Deer Valley Resort, Park City, Utah – The 2011 Deer Valley® Music Festival is to take place at Deer Valley’s well-known Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater from July 16 to August 13, 2011. The Utah Symphony presents this month long celebration of classical and pop music for its eighth season now. 

This years’ festival includes performances from: The Music of The Eagles on July 16, the Von Trapp children on July 22, Chris Botti on July 23, Summer Pops with Keith Lockhart and Time for Three on July 29, Idina Menzel on July 30, Holst’s The Planets on August 5,“Broadway Rocks” on August 6, 1812 Overture on August 12 and The Music of Queen on August 13. The Utah Symphony will also perform a “Patriotic Celebration” at Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater on July 2 at 7:30 p.m. For show times and ticket information, please visit deervalleymusicfestival.org.

A Concert Package is also being offered consisting of a concert evening for two with tickets to the Utah Symphony’s Deer Valley Music Festival and one night’s lodging in a hotel room at the Lodges at Deer Valley or the Silver Baron Lodge starting at $159.

Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets or buy Deer Valley’s Gourmet Picnic Baskets or Bags. Both the Gourmet Picnic Basket and Bag include a variety of delicious foods to satisfy your hunger with entrees such as smoked salmon or roasted turkey. Concession stands are also located in the area offering grilled chicken sandwiches with sautéed onions and mushrooms, burgers and garden burgers, chicken Caesar salads, the famed Deer Valley Turkey Chili (or a Turkey Chili Dog), Deer Valley’s jumbo cookies, homemade ice cream sandwiches and more.

Deer Valley offers its summer activities starting June 17, which include lift-served mountain biking and hiking, scenic chairlift rides, lunch at Royal Street Café and Deer Valley Grocery~Café’s extended dinner hours.
