This Saturday, on January 7th Holiday Valley will be celebrating the grand opening of the newest addition to the New York resort, the SnowPine Quad Chairlift. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony and a rousing champagne toast held at 11 am on Saturday morning.
The $650,000 chairlift system is Holiday’s tenth quad chairlift and was built over this past summer by the resort’s mountain crew to replace the outdated double chair that existed in its place. The new lift if 2,100 feet long and has the capability to transport over 1,600 skiers per hour to the top.
This lift nearly double the capacity of the old double chair and further improves the experience for skiers and snowboarders residing in teh SnowPine Village condiminiums who now can boast ski-in, ski-out accomodations.
We’ll have some additional coverage after Saturday’s ceremony with some photos of the new lift after its big reveal!
