parkcity_p2p_logoThe Park City Point 2 Point is an annual endurance mountain bike race attended by the nation’s top mountain bike racers. These athletes assemble each year during Labor Day Weekend to tackle some of the most extreme trails known to man. Park City boasts over 300 miles of trails that are renowned for their diversity and for instigating incredibly high speeds. The event is held in partnership with Smartwool, Deer Valley, Park City Ski Resort and Canyons

Registration starts today, February 15th at 7pm. Those interested should visit athlete360.com to sign up. Event officials encourage athletes to create a login and get their account set-up before registration starts — this will increase your odds of snagging an entry. The contest was so incredibly popular last year that it completely sold out in 6 minutes!

parkcity_p2p_logo2The cost for solo racers is $150. In addition to getting in on all the mountain biking action, racers will also receive a ton of great swag when they arrive to pickup their registration packet — again — another situation where the early bird gets the worm. Last year the swag bag included some rad SkullCandy headphones, Beyond Coastal Sun Screen, PROBARs, NUUN tablets, P2P stickers, and more!

After the race concludes there will be a raffle, BBQ, and concert in the Forum at Canyons Resort. Everyone who finishes the race will receive a cool “finishers gift” upon reaching the finish line.

The course is a true point 2-point event. With the abundance of unique trails across Park City, competition bikers will never be on the same trail twice. They will be riding single-track trail for over 90% of the race — which is a significant feat for these types of events. The total distance traveled by those taking on the course will be 78 miles, with bikers gaining 14,000′ over the course of the race. The track will also guide riders through three of the country’s top mountain resorts. While the day will be a huge challenge, the fun will leave you with a smile on your face from start to finish.
