First Snow Hits Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows

Great news! As a result of the first snowfall at Squaw Valley, The Village has decided to offer early booking once again!

With snow still coming down hard, the first snow storm of the 2012/13 winter season has already delivered 12 inches to Squaw Valley and 14 inches to Alpine Meadows as of 11am this morning – and more snow is on the way!

The snow is forecasted to continue into the night with over a foot of snow expected at the base areas by tomorrow morning. The next wave of the storm is expected to hit tomorrow morning, with another wave expected on Wednesday. The resorts could see as much as 3 feet of snow by Thursday.

In the excitement surrounding the first snowfall, The Village at Squaw Valley is re-opening their early booking lodging for the next 48 hours!
