The snowfall has been abundant in Heavenly and South Lake Tahoe with over 3 feet in the last week. Guests can anticipate some “heavenly” snow conditions heading into the holiday season. With all the snowfall, Heavenly has been able to open additional terrain including the double black diamond Mott Canyon. The mountain has more than 1,100 acres of open terrain spanning over California and Nevada.
If you’re planning on visiting Lake Tahoe this holiday season, don’t forget to head to the Heavenly Village from December 19th-31st for some fun holiday activities that the whole family can enjoy. For 13 days, the Village will be full of festive events like ice-skating and a countdown to the New Year.
“Heavenly Holidays was a huge success last year, and for this second year, we are thrilled about the entertainment lineup,” said Pete Sonntag, vice president and general manager of Heavenly. “A day of skiing or snowboarding with the family on the best conditions at Lake Tahoe, followed up by a visit to Santa or an ice skating show in the evening, will really make this holiday season a memorable one.”
Here is a list of the holiday events that Heavenly has to offer:
Ripperoo Parades – December 15-April 6
