Durango Mountain Resort, known to locals only as “Purgatory,” is a four-season resort bounded by spired peaks on three sides and high desert to the south.The unique geographical setting places Durango precisely in the middle of two differing weather systems with a history of producing consistently light snowfall followed by delightful bluebird days

The sheer amount of skiable area, 1,200 acres to be exact, provides enough room and variety for everyone on the mountain. The elevation difference from summit to base is 2,029 feet, providing ample varied terrain and a fun drop. Both snowboarders and skiers will appreciate the picturesque Colorado mountains, great weather, and fun snow throughout the entire winter season.
