Catering to families and beginners, Eldora runs both a nursery area for younger kids and a family-only ski area for kids of all ages. Eldora Mountain Resort compares nicely to a mid-size European ski resort with a cherry, friendly, and small-scale staff. However, Eldora is certainly not the place for experts or terrain park enthusiasts; as of the 2009 ski season, Eldora maintained only one nominal park.
