Ski Hesperus, Colorado’s most affordable lift ticket, lets you avoid the crowds and high expenses of skiing luxury ski areas. This place promotes skiing the traditional way, before high speed quads and corporate mega resorts. Some refer to Hesperus as Southwest Colorado’s Locals’ Secret or a straightforward “mom and pop” ski area. With only a few runs, Hesperus is a great place to work out before hitting the bigger ski resorts and bring a bunch of kids so they don’t get lost. Hesperus has day and night skiing on the weekend and can also open the resort on a weekday to accommodate private groups. Be sure to pop into Pitch’s grill for a warm homemade meal after going hard on the slopes all day!
