Telluride Ski Resort, Colorado USA Ski Resort

Telluride Ski Resort maintains 1,700 naturally divided skiable acres increasing in difficulty from bunny slopes to expert ski terrain as one rides West to East across the mountain.
The East side of the mountain off Lift 6 and Lift 9 offers a huge 3,140 foot vertical drop from the top of Plunge trail and the double black Little Rose Trail makes for some great powder turns on a bluebird day.
The recent addition accessible via Lift 12, Black Iron Bowl, serves up fresh backcountry tracks to advanced skiers and boarders all season. Skiers and boarders can drop in after a reasonable ten to thirty minute trek along the ridge. The bowl features a 1000 foot drop, open glades, powder fields, steep chutes, and European-style faces. The Mountain Quail couloir, previously available only to guided groups, is now fully accessible, weather permitting. Other new runs available in Black Iron Bowl include Westlake, Lakeview, Review, Dihedral Chute, Dihedral Face, Jello’s Bowl and Nice Chute.
Open groomed runs allow intermediates to cruise between all three sections of the mountain. Lift 5 opens up treed terrain, smaller moguls, and moderate chutes for intermediates seeking a fun challenge. Beginners can check out Telluride Ski and Snowboard School, frolic on Prospect Bowl's two mile long gentle runs, or glide down the 4.6 mile long Galloping Goose trail (the longest on the mountain) off Lift 12.
