Snowboarding Spins Tricktionary

Backside spin
When the rider spins off a feature with their back facing down hill after the first 90° of rotating. So if you ride left foot forward when you face down hill this would be spinning to your right, right foot forward you spin to your left

Frontside spin
The exact opposite of spinning backside, so your front facing down hill after the first 90° of rotating

180
One half of a spin, you end up riding away switch footed

360
One full spin, you ride away the same way you took off

540
One and a half spins

720
Two full spins

900
Two and a half spins

1080
Three full spins

1260
Three and a half spins

1440
Four full spins

Cabs/Halfcabs/Caballerial
Ok so this is a little tricky first of all it is a spin performed switch footed rotating frontside. Now technically since the “Caballerial” is a fakie frontside 360 named after a skateboarder Steve Caballero it really should only appy to the 360, caballerial, and the 180, halfcab. But snowboarders have applied it to all switch frontside spins example a cab 5 is a switch frontside 540.

Alley-Oop
A spin in the half pipe opposite to the direction of travel, example doing a backside spin on your frontside wall.

Corked
Any spin done of axis or unparallel to the ground.
