Brain Farm is becoming a household name thanks to their involvement with Red Bull and their new Signature Series on NBC. The cinematic powerhouse took action sport films to the next level through their work on 2011′s blockbuster Art of Flight and now through their coverage of Supernatural, Brain Farm’s content has begun reaching the masses.

The production company is known for employing the most cutting edge technologies in their productions, resulting in absolutely breath-taking depictions of athleticism and natural scenery. In order to keep ahead of the pack, they’ve employed the most sophisticated tools known to man. The most recent addition to their arsenal is a remote control drone helicopter outfitted with Cineflex camera systems.

The new equipment is designed and produced by Schiebel and dubbed the CAMCOPTER┬« S-100 UAS integrated with CINEFLEX┬«. The device claims to be the ultimate gyro-stabilized solution for aerial cinematography. The Cineflex features a mutli-axis coordinated gimbal control system that provides layered isolation, steering, and fine correctional movements to stabilize a wide selection of precision optics to a sub-pixel level. The Camcopter S-100 is fed navigation directions through pre-programmed GPS waypoints or can be manually operated remotely through a pilot control unit. Footage capturing sessions are planned and controlled using a user-friendly point and click graphical interface. The combination of these systems affords cinematographers the ease and ability to capture world-class footage that is both stable and of high resolution.

There’s no question that this new technology will allow filmmaking to be taken in places never before though possible. The age old saying of “being a fly on the wall” may be on its way to coming true!
