Well, ladies and gents… the cross country road trip has begun. I knew it was going to be a great trip right from the start thanks to the crazy, babbling cabbie and Southwest flight attendant singing oldies.

Eight hours and several Cracker Barrel billboards later, we found ourselves in Snowshoe, West Virginia. The resort is beautiful and the people are SUPER friendly. Surprising factoid: Snowshoe’s elevation almost rivals that of Boulder, sitting at 4,848 feet. It’s also a very unique experience, as the village sits on TOP of the ski resort. First chairs need not apply.

When I wasn’t marveling at the beauty of the resort, I was stuffing my face with delicious food or enjoying the colorful local

s at open mic night. Overall, I had a great time at Snowshoe – looking forward to coming back this summer, and definitely again in the winter.
